Responding to a post shared by Cezar Taurion, I called for “brain gyms”. The phrase captures a habit worth protecting: making the effort to think when a confident answer is already available.
For a leader using AI, I would make that habit concrete. Before accepting a recommendation, state the decision in your own words. Identify the assumption on which it depends. Decide what evidence would change your mind.
Then use AI to challenge that reasoning. Ask it to expose a weak assumption or work through a different course of action. Make the choice yourself and be able to explain it to the people who will live with the consequences.
Human agency is something to exercise in everyday work. Give your judgment a job to do.
